If you are a xero fan, then you may be aware that xero have announced new and refreshed subscription plans for their customers around the globe. These plans are now based around the number of employees being used in the payroll system.
Xero have said about the change "We’ve channeled over $100 million into the Xero platform in the last two years, made hundreds of product updates, and added powerful new features and integrations. Because Xero lives online, updates and new features are delivered automatically – unlike the clunky and expensive upgrades required for desktop software"
"We’ve reached a point where our prices no longer reflect the strength of payroll and what’s to come. For these reasons, we’ve adjusted the prices of our plans in Australia"
There are some new payroll features being supported in the coming months including
1. PAYG and Withholding Tax will automatically appear in the current activity statement.
2. Bonuses and Commissions will be supported
3. ETP summaries can be produced and lodged with the ATO through xero
The new pricing changes will take effect from 2 June 2016,
What do I need to do ?
You will be automatically moved to the equivalent plan based on your payroll activity from 2 June 2016. If your subscription is invoiced through Butlers Accountants, we will make the changes in the April to June quarterly billing period for the month of June only to reflect the new price change.
No matter how this pricing change affects you, its a great time to review your needs and make sure you're on the xero plan that best fits your business.
You do not need to take any further action but of course where you have questions about the change to xero subscriptions, we encourage you to contact our office on 07 5536 2288 or email our xero support email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
